Indicator Definition: Education is a branch of the public sector, according to COFOG classification that includes activities of pre-primary, primary, secondary, tertiary education, post-secondary non-tertiary education, education non-definable by level, subsidiary services to education, and R&D (as defined by the Government's Financial Statistics manual issued by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The dataset shows the total Education Expenditure at the UAE level (in Millions AED), classified by the education category, for the period from the year 2012 to 2021 according to the Standards of the Government's Financial Statistics manual issued by IMF. Calculation Methodology: The Expenditure Data has been collected from United Arab Emirates University; Zayed University; Higher Colleges of Technology; National Qualification Authority; and the Ministry of Education. First administrative level data is currently not available. However, we are actively working on expanding our data offerings and it is part of our future plans to include this level of detailed information
